SchoolS
The instruments that Bringing Music to Life collects and refurbishes are awarded to school music programs so they can provide opportunities for generations of students. Over the past 14 years, with the generosity of our community, we've been able to place 10,000+ instruments in over 400 schools, benefiting more than 30,000 students across Colorado and saving schools and families over $12,000,000 in purchase, rental, and repair costs.

2026 BMTL School Recipients
Bringing Music to Life is proud to announce the 93 schools that will receive instruments as part of our program. These schools will receive their instruments at our Instrument Presentation Day on August 8 at the Newman Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Denver.

School Applications

Each spring, we invite schools to submit an application outlining the types and numbers of instruments that would most benefit their music programs. Teachers can request instruments commonly used in band, orchestra, mariachi, guitar, modern band, and keyboard school music programs. We then match instruments to qualifying schools based on items received during our Instrument Donation Drive.
Schools that qualify for instruments will be notified in mid-May regarding the type and number of instruments they will receive. Instruments will be awarded in mid-August.

Instrument Presentation
Each August, we host an annual Instrument Presentation Event. Music teachers from qualifying schools come together to receive their instruments for the coming school year, network and celebrate the successes of their school music programs.
