The tables in Hamilton Hall at the Newman Center for Performing Arts were crammed with instruments, and boxes and cases filled the surrounding floor space. Teachers from 46 schools across Colorado surveyed the scene with joyful smiles as they imagined the music their students would create with these donations. After a short presentation and a riveting violin performance by 16-year-old Aidan Hodges, the music educators loaded the 622 instruments into their vehicles for the start of their journey to their new homes.
