Now more than ever, music education faces financial pressure from several directions. Flat or declining school budgets, federal funding instability, a proposed 25% tariff that could raise the cost of brass instruments, and a rising cost of living are all making it harder for families to afford a musical instrument.
Bringing Music to Life bridges the gap between school funding and classroom needs. Over the past 17 years, our program has saved schools and families more than $12,000,000 in purchase, repair, and rental costs. By restoring donated instruments to playable condition, we help ensure equitable access to music education, regardless of a student’s ZIP Code, school funding level, or family income.
Bringing Music to Life is grateful to all who donate as part of Colorado’s largest giving season tradition, Colorado Gives Day. Each donation through the fund helps to power school music programs and put instruments into the hands of students.
