Betsy O’Malley Busks for BMTL

We are grateful to Betsy O’Malley, Irish dance musician, singer, performer and educator for coming up with the creative concept of Busking for BMTL.

Last summer Betsy played at 14 Farmer’s Markets promoting both Irish traditional music and Bringing Music to Life.  Her performances were literally meant to bring music to life – she wanted to share Irish dance tunes with the wider world, giving fresh life to old music through new listeners. She simultaneously wanted to generate additional interest in the work of BMTL by introducing our program to new audiences in new venues throughout Northern Colorado. In doing so, she raised more than $500 on our behalf. The money she raised busking will fund the repair of several instruments, thereby bringing the gift of music to many more young musicians. Thank you, Betsy!
